# Productive Study

Productive Study
It’s probably every single kid’s dream to study LESS but get MORE done, and it may seem impossible but it’s actually not. Here are the most important things to keep in mind when studying.

Environment
While this may not seem so important this in fact is very important. You want to get in a comfy place where you are calm. Make sure that place is not loud. Many parents say to be at a table or desk, but that might not work for you. You can be on a bed, as long as you have a bed tray, which you can buy or make out of cardboard. That place should be completely lighted and remove all electronics and distractions away.

Routine
Routine is literally everything. If you start doing the same thing, at the same time, at the same place, it will be in your muscle memory and and in your brain that you have to do it. Have breaks in every 30 minutes to 1 hour, but don’t get in a deep conversation with anyone or if you know that someone is doing something you likedon’t go to them, since this can distract you and make you feel as if you are missing out. If you have work for different subjects, have a certain order that you do them in, everyday. Stay liberal with yourself so that if you are doing something else that is important to you, finish it, then start studying.

Posture
Posture is super important because it can set the mood for studying. Always sit up straight, don’t lie down or slouch. This can make you sleepy or cause you to stop studying.

Snacks
While many tell you to not eat or drink anything while working, you should because that can provide you with the much needed energy. Don’t have any junk food such as chips or candy, instead have fruits, granola, or nuts. Anything that you can slowly munch on while you study. Also have a drink with you. You shouldn’t have anything such as soda or coffee because that hypers you, since it will put you in the mood to have fun and not to study because those kind of drinks have a lot of caffeine in them. Instead, a healthier option that’s also delicious would be lemonade or water with any sliced up fruits such as lime, peaches, or oranges in it.

The teacher
I know you are most likely thinking that what is the teacher? The teacher is an effective method of studying, so we can understand the concept. This is done by having a study group or if you don’t have a study group you can do it with little children or your teddies. All you have to do is pretend to be the teacher and explain the concept or anything that you’re studying, to your audience, you wanna say this in a clear way that they (meaning you) can understand it and memorizes it. Doing this ensures that you are able to remember anything related to the topic and you’re able to answer questions about it, since you’re able to explain everything in detail. Try to do it in as much detail as possible, because this will make sure you  understand.

The 20-80 plan
The 20- 80 plan is basically that you need to study 20% of your subjects, 80% of the time. The 20% that you have to study the most, should be the most important subjects. If we give every subject equal importance, we wont be able to do any of them properly, instead doing the 20-80 plan we will most likely do much better on our tests and exams. For example in the real world, big stores such as Walmart, make 80% of their profits from 20% of their products. This increases business and productivity. This plan effectively divides importance and our efforts to each subject.

Time Spacing
Time spacing just means that instead of doing all your studies in a bunch, you should divide it throughout the day. Doing this, you won’t get too bored or frustrated from the studying, and you will have better focus since you are relaxing between the study times.

The endpoint-
When you study, make sure you are focusing. This will only happen if you are relaxed, ready to study, and are comfortable. So, next time, you study, make sure to use these tips and notes.
